Traffic reduction in Oxford: A case study of Oxford city and county
A review of land use and transport planning in Oxford, focusing on traffic generation and traffic reduction. It examines the traffic impact of the "growth pole" policy of accommodating urban growth in settlements away from Oxford city and its green belt, drawing on data and surveys by the author, Peter Headicar and Oxfordshire County Council.
This paper formed one of a number of case studies of traffic reduction policies included in chapter 3 of:
