Traffic Calming: Progress and Potential - 1991

First, a strategy is offered to counter the heavy social and environmental costs of increasing motorisation of urban travel. Second, the potential pf traffic calming as a solution for environmental, safety and local economic problems is discussed. Third, progress in the UK is reviewed, with suggestions for further action.
