King's Lynn Urban Development Strategy

The Urban Development Strategy reports can be found on the West Norfolk website, or downloaded here, see pdfs to the right.

The parking and transport content is in Part 3 of the study (see sections 7, 8, 9).

One of the principles was to avoid vehicles being driven through the town centre. The road system would be managed to ensure driving "to, not through" the centre.

Another feature was to reduce "searching" traffic by linking car parks to a signed "parking route". This would encourage drivers to stop at the first car park on the route with free spaces available.
