Harold Hill regeneration strategy

Potential for improving the bus links between Harold Hill and Romford town centre was identified. Within the large Harold Hill estate the bus could be given more prominence and better marketing to attract custom not only for the buses, but for local shops and businesses.

One small achievement was a change of name of bus stops serving a local shopping centre. It was pointed out that the bus stop name gave passengers no clue as to the presence of the adjacent (but not very visible) shopping area. TfL buses subsequently changed the name to Hilldene Ave Shopping Centre.

Unfortunately the Harold Hill project was terminated before final reporting had been completed.
