The Zahnradbahn cog railway in Stuttgart is part of the regular public transport system, but it also has a tourist function. Cyclists can take their bikes on a special trailer to the top of the hill (200 metres higher than the city centre stop) and enjoy an easy ride home downhill. The railway opened in 1884. Photo taken in 1991.
